Art Fundamentals for Children 12-15 years old
Students who are new to art will start with the basics. They will focus on composition, form, shape and color. 2 hour classes have individual approach to each student. They will learn how to get ideas, how to brainstorm them in a form of sketching and how to start a new project.
Experienced students will continue with their practice gaining a deeper understanding of art and developing their skills.
Below is a short description of what students do during their lessons:
Thematic painting and drawing: Painting or drawing on provided themes applying imagination.
Still life: Still object drawing or painting to study composition, proportions, relationship between light and shadow, relationship between colors.
Introduction to human anatomy: Introduction to human anatomy begins with studying the body’s basic proportions and facial structure proceeding to bodies in motion.
Introduction to perspective: Students learn how to create a perspective effect by means of foreground and background elements and later they are introduced to linear perspective.
Sculpture: Working with natural clay to create three dimensional sculptures.
